Our Mission

MOS empowers every child to thrive and to create a more just, equitable world.

Community Practices

At The Morgan Oliver School, our principles are actionable practices that guide how we build and nurture our community. We are committed to not just talking about change but actively implementing it.

Center the Marginalized

When the most marginalized people are thriving, we all thrive. By prioritizing their needs and overcoming their barriers, our decisions and policies uplift everyone. Supporting the most marginalized enriches our entire community and drives collective success.

Be

Anti-Racist

Choose Trust Over Suspicion

Be Civically Engaged

Empower Learners

We confront and dismantle systemic inequalities by recognizing and addressing our biases. Together, we break down oppressive structures and build a culture of equity and justice. We commit to antiracism in our curriculum, policies, and everyday interactions.

In our interactions, we embrace trust and positive intent. When expectations fall short, we give each other the benefit of the doubt and work to resolve issues. This fosters a supportive environment where everyone can succeed through collaboration.

We don’t just talk; we take action. Engage in civic activities, contribute to our shared history, and drive community change through action research and diverse perspectives. By fostering a culture of love and acceptance, we empower everyone to actively participate and make a real impact.

We pursue the kind of academic excellence that nurtures each child's uniqueness and personal growth. Beyond teaching standards, we strive to ignite true potential. Our curriculum develops real-world skills, deepens historical understanding, and prepares students to create a better world for themselves and others.
