Spanish Speaking 
Teacher

Job Title: Spanish-Speaking Elementary Teacher

The Morgan Oliver School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Spanish-speaking Elementary Teacher to join our team. As an innovative and inclusive educational institution, we are committed to providing our students with a high-quality education that promotes academic excellence, cultural awareness, and bilingual proficiency.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Deliver engaging and dynamic instruction in Spanish to elementary students, fostering their language acquisition and fluency.


  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, activities, and assessments aligned with the school's curriculum and standards.-


  • - Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a love for learning and respects the diverse backgrounds and abilities of students.

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students, providing support and challenging opportunities as appropriate.

  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to ensure a cohesive and effective educational experience for students.

  •  Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing feedback and guidance to support their academic growth.

  •  Establish and maintain strong communication with parents/guardians, sharing student progress and addressing any concerns or questions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, with a focus on Elementary Education.

  • State certification or licensure in Elementary Education.

  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to teach effectively in Spanish.

  • Experience teaching elementary students, preferably in a bilingual or immersion setting.

  • Strong knowledge of child development, instructional strategies, and classroom management techniques.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a growth mindset.

Aftercare Coordinator

Job Title: Aftercare Teacher

The Morgan Oliver School is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Aftercare Teacher to join our team. As an inclusive and student-centered educational institution, we are committed to providing a safe and engaging after-school environment that supports the holistic development of our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and ensure the safety of students during the aftercare program, maintaining a nurturing and inclusive environment.

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, games, and projects that promote social, emotional, and intellectual growth.

  • Assist students with homework assignments and provide academic support as needed.

  • Foster positive and respectful relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, promoting effective communication and collaboration.

  • Encourage and model positive behavior, guiding students in developing strong character and interpersonal skills.

  • Ensure compliance with program policies, rules, and procedures, maintaining a structured and organized aftercare setting.

  • Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and any important updates or concerns.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in Education or a related field is preferred.

  • Prior experience working with children in a school, daycare, or aftercare setting.

  • Strong understanding of child development principles and behavior management techniques.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students and build positive relationships.

  • Reliable, responsible, and punctual, with a strong commitment to the well-being and development of children.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and follow program guidelines.

  • CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.

Substitute Teaching Opportunities

We are seeking substitutes for our elementary and early care programs. Seeking a person with flexible hours and the potential for a longer term position. Individuals should have experience in teaching multi age children. Interested applicants for substitute teaching should submit their resume to sanidia@morganoliverschool.org
